Presenter Jon Balke gave a presentation titled, "Looking at the Art of Black and White Photography. " To describe, "It is only by looking more closely at the world of color around us that we learn to make good black and white images.  We will spend time exploring how black and white film depicts color in tones of gray, offering an alternative way of seeing and expressing reality."

Our April presenter, Hank Erdmann, gave us a presentation titled "Three Filters You Should Know and Use for Nature & Outdoor Photography." In his own words: "I use three filters and only three filters in my work, or at least variations of three filters. I'll explain when and why I use Polarizers, Neutral Density and Warming filters, how they work, and how I use them in the field. We'll also talk about the relative quality of different manufactures, cost, and which filters you should purchase first. We'll also touch on why over filtration can be worse than none at all."
